Rare books collections: McIntosh Collection

McIntosh Collection

Described in 1931 as the bequest of Professor William Carmichael McIntosh, this is a large collection of works on natural history, including important works on marine biology. Much of this collection was added to the main library general collections in the 20th century. The current collection includes only 19 physical volumes of publications by the Royal Scottish Arboricultural Society and the Scottish Arboricultural Society.
