Rare books collections: Beveridge Collection

Beveridge Collection

‌Gift of the Rev. John Beveridge (1857-1943). The collection contains c. 1600 vols, chiefly 19th and 20th centuries, but with four 18th century items. It consists almost exclusively of books about Norway, Esperanto and bee keeping.

Includes some pamphlets. Also includes things like scrapbooks of newspaper cuttings and short runs of periodicals. The papers of Rev. John Beveridge, within our Manuscript collections, include correspondence (392 letters, dating from 1884 to 1940), various manuscript translations, original articles and lectures, and miscellaneous items.
