Bonaparte Collection

The Bonaparte collections comprises c. 71 volumes purchased in 1948, bearing the armorial bookplate of Francis Frederick Fox. The books are in various European dialects (chiefly British and Italian, with a few Basque), and mainly consisting of translations of portions of the Bible (especially Song of Solomon and St Matthew); printed in London 1857-1863 for Prince Louis-Lucien Bonaparte (1813-1891) in limited editions of 250 copies.
