This collection comprises two sequences of papers, one of general correspondence mainly to the 1st and 2nd Viscounts Melville, Henry Dundas and Robert Saunders Dundas, and the second from Principals Hill and Lee of the University of St Andrews, mainly relating to University matters, but also referring to issues relevant to the Church of Scotland, patronage, and politics.
