J and J Ireland, also known as Ireland's, was located at 57 South Street, St Andrews.  Originally a firm of cabinet makers, the firm developed into a furniture retailing business.  The shop closed around 1987.

The collection includes ledgers, cash books, stock lists, invoices, other business papers and personal photographs.
