Herald, James Watterston (1859-1914)

James Watterston Herald was an artist, born in Forfar, and lived and painted in Edinburgh and Croydon before returning to Arbroath in 1901. He liked to use pastels or watercolours of urban scenes and seaside towns.

The papers contains correspondence, letters from John Ewan, a collector and friend of Herald, exhibition material, sketches, photographs.
