George M. Cowie Collection of Golf and St Andrews Photojournalism
The work of the local press photographer, George Middlemass Cowie's work covers every aspect of life in and around St Andrews, events on the famous local golf courses and other newsworthy activities in the surrounding area of East Fife.
Related to this collection is the photographic material by Andrew Cowie, George's son.
Additionally, George Cowie purchased a collection of photographs by John Fairweather, mostly taken in St Andrew ranging from around the 1860's to the early 1900's.
