About JSTOR Ebooks

The University of St Andrews has access to selected e-books purchased on the JSTOR platform, as well as over 5000 Open Access e-books.   You can view e-book chapters online or download them as standard PDFs.  Books are supplied on a Digital Rights Management Free (DRM-Free) basis, so there are no limits on downloading or printing, and you won't need to log in or use any special software to use the e-books.

Finding JSTOR E-Books

To find an e-book on JSTOR use Library search.  From the results click the green eBook button, and then login using your University username and password.  You can also search directly from the JSTOR website. 

  • Enter your search terms in the search box
  • From the results choose "Book chapters" and ensure "Content I can access" is selected

Results will show individual chapters in books.  Beneath the chapter title you'll see a clickable link to the book the chapter comes from, and a Download PDF button.
