Costs
The Inter-Library Loan service is available to all academic staff and students. The Library does not charge for Inter-Library Loans for most academic staff and postgraduate students. Undergraduate students get their first requests for free, please see the quotas below.

Renewals
You must return any ILL book by the date shown on your Library Record. Please disregard the slip on the piece of paper that the issuing library placed in the book.
If you would like to renew your book, please contact the ILL team at least a week before the due date so they can check with the supplying library.
Please note that automatic renewals do not apply to ILLs.
Items borrowed through ILL may be recalled, so please don't take them away with you during the holidays or semester breaks.
There will be a charge of £4 per renewal.
Overdue fees and lost books
Fines of £1 per day are charged for all overdue ILL items. Any charges incurred as a result of late returns or lost and damaged items have to be met by the Library user. You will be invoiced by the Library for any replacement costs.
If you renew an overdue book, you will still have to pay the overdue fees on top of the renewal fee.
Uncollected books
Inter-Library Loan requests which are not collected or consulted within 1 month of arrival will be subject to a non-collection charge of £10.
