- What is Scan and Deliver?Scan and Deliver is an electronic document delivery service which enables you to request one article from a journal, or up to a chapter of a book from JF Allen Library, St Mary's Library, Walter Bower House Library, Martyrs or Psychology Store; we will scan that for you and email you a link to the pdf which will be available for 30 days.
- What can I request through the Scan and Deliver service?You can request an article from any one issue of a journal, or up to 10% of a book, typically one chapter, though some material types are exempt.
- Who can use Scan and Deliver?The Scan and Deliver service is available to all current staff and students.
- Can I request more than 1 chapter from a book on Scan & Deliver?You can request 1 chapter or up to 10% of a book via the Scan and Deliver service. Once we have supplied this, due to copyright legislation, we cannot supply any more of the book for you,
- Does this mean I'm no longer able to request the physical item from the collection?You can still request to borrow material where you require the the entire work. Scan and Deliver just offers a convenient alternative for when you need access to a chapter or article.
- How long will it take to receive my scan?Providing there are no additional queries with your request we would hope to complete your request on a next day basis, although the service is not currently running over the weekend.
- How many scans can I request?Staff and students are able to request scans of material held in the Main Library, Martyrs, Walter Bower House. There is a quota per academic year.
- How much does Scan and Deliver cost?The Scan and Deliver service is absolutely free.
- Is it ok if I post the scanned PDF to a webpage to share with my classmates/students/colleagues?Your Scan and Deliver request is for individual research use only, and may not be shared, distributed, or posted elsewhere online. Before submitting a request,
