Why Use Referencing Software?
Keeping track of all of the articles, books and reports you use in your essays can be difficult. Referencing software can help.
Referencing software keeps an electronic database of all of the references you use and can easily generate a bibliography and format it in many different styles for you.
Different Referencing Software
There are two main referencing tools supported by the University Library:
EndNote is a powerful desktop software which is installed on all student machines and can be used on your own computer via Apps Anywhere.
Mendeley is free for you to download from the web and works best with PDF documents.
It is possible to import and export references from one system to another if you want to try different ones out before deciding which is best for you.
Referencing Styles Guide helps you find out which style to use for each School and also gives detailed instructions on using these styles along with examples.
