International History and International Relations: The Russell Cawthorn Collection

The Collection

The Library is very fortunate in having recently received a significant collection of material on World War I and related conflicts, deposited by John Cawthorn on behalf of the 1926 Foundation.  It includes primary source material (e.g. Offcial Histories, Personal Narratives and Diaries) as well as current publications.

The collection aims to cover both the more mainstream aspects of World War I, such as the Western Front, and associated conflicts including the Russian Revolution and ensuing Civil War, the Polish-Soviet War, and conflicts in Turkey.
